Daniel Leeflang & Dylan Hermelijn—better known as DJ Dano & 2000 and One—have shaped the sound of generations. Their friendship sparked in the ‘80s underground, and what started as shared inspiration evolved into two legendary solo careers.
Dano, the driving force behind The Dream Team, was already deep into electronic dance music before hardcore took over. One night at RoXy flipped his world upside down—what began as a skeptical curiosity became an all-consuming obsession. He practically became the music, and his life story (WAT DE FOK, OUE – the bizarre life of DJ Dano) was so wild, his book flew off the shelves. Hardcore may have put his name on the map, but his love for techno runs just as deep. Last time he played Rollende Beats, it felt like the floor might split open—so bringing him back was not up for debate.
2000 and One grew up in a home where music wasn’t just played—it was lived. Shaped by hip-hop, funk, and disco, he became mesmerized by the raw, hypnotic grooves flowing in from Chicago and Detroit. Armed with synths, drum machines, and a vision, he saw where this sound was headed—and made sure he was part of it. His record collection exploded, and soon he was taking over the decks at Amsterdam’s most cutting-edge clubs and underground raves. In 1993, at the peak of it all, he launched different labels, one of which is 100% Pure, now one of the most influential house and techno labels in the Netherlands. The years that followed? Hit after hit, legendary festivals, groundbreaking releases, and the night he and Joris Voorn pulled 40,000 people into the groove at Sensation.
